Criw Cymraeg
Shwmae!
Our Criw Cymraeg is made up of pupils from Year 3 - Year 6. Our job is to promote the use of Welsh across the school. We meet weekly and lead a weekly Welsh Assembly every Wednesday. We play with the younger children in the school at lunchtimes, teaching them Welsh playground games and give out weekly certificates to children who we think have been using lots of Welsh.
During the year we organise fun events such as 'Diwrnod Shwmae' in October and 'Dydd Gwyl Dewi' in March.
During our assembly, we introduce a new 'patrwm yr wythnos', a language pattern to use throughout the following week, as well as a new 'Pwy ydy'r athro?' We ask members of staff questions throughout the following week to find out who the mystery teacher is!
