Learning Space Senedd Update

We’ve been working hard on the design and budget for our new creative, independent learning zone. New green screens are in place and all creative resources have been re-organised. We’ve budgeted for new resources and are busy working on displays to promote independent learning. Cross-curricular learning opportunities are being planned and we can’t wait to use our awesome new area!

Safety Senedd Update

We hope that our campaign to improve the parking situation outside school has worked. We have kept in contact with the police and will look into road safety again in the summer term.

At the moment we are working with the Curriculum Senedd on developing our outdoor areas. We have decided it would be safer to fence off our woodland area and we are discussing safety rules for when you are using the woodland. Classes are going to design panels to be put along the fence to brighten up the outside area. Mr Trowbridge will be putting the fence up over the Easter holidays. Thank you!

Digital Senedd Update

We’ve been working alongside Criw Cymraeg to develop the use of Welsh Apps in all classes.

Once again we led the organisation for Safer internet day on 11th February. All classes were provided with ideas to learn about how to remain safe online. We also led a whole school assembly to remind everyone of the importance of the SMART rules.

Senedd Communication

It’s coming to the end of the school year and is nearly our last Senedd. It’s been a fantastic year of blogging and we enjoyed choosing our own categories to blog about. We are now thinking of how to improve our Senedd group even more. Watch this space!

Book Reviews

Up the Faraway Tree  by Enid Blyton. Reviewed by Emilia. 10/10. There is a collection of stories by Enid Bltyon. This is the last one and I have read all the others too. I love reading and this story is full of good illustrations and it’s about 2 girls and a boy who go up a faraway tree and find a magical land at the top!

Puppy Gets Stuck by Sue Mongredien. Reviewed by Freya. 10/10 because it has got a nice happy ending!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules by Jeff Kinney. Reviewed by Keira. 10/10. This book is really funny and has an interesting story line. This book is most suitable for anyone over the age of 8 as sometimes there are some tricky words.

Website of the week

We had mixed reviews as some pupils found it harder to use than others. There are lots of different games to play to help your Welsh but some are quite difficult. 5/10. Reviewed by Emily, Sarah, Tobi and Mia-Anne
